I was not even aware until right now that this book even existed!! I found this site by a google search, I am a bit clueless when it comes to the internet, never thought till just now to simply google search. Kind of ticked at myself now.

What are the options for purchasing this book? I'm in the US and have Borders and B & N nearby. And would be willing to buy it direct if there is such a thing.

Welcome to the site!

You should be able to get it now and if they don't have any in stock, order it.

Hi Mark - welcome here.

You should be able to readily order the book at either of the stores you mentioned. IF you have any trouble, say where, which store, it can be fixed PRONTO.

You can also order the book direct from Meish Merlin Publishing, and it comes with a matching signed book plate in color (if there are any left)

www.meishamerlin.com

should take you there.

Meisha Merlin has national distribution through Diamond Books.

If you know any other fans, please note: Meisha Merlin will produce this title in hardbound, and also in large format (trade) paperback. There are no plans whatever to do a mass market paperback at this time in this country. (Only Britain).

If you also missed To Ride Hell's Chasm, the standalone that came out last year - Meisha Merlin did that one too, and it's now available in paperback and hardbound....just in case you missed that one too. :-)

The move from HarperCollins may have taken some fans by surprise and I'd hate them to get left out.

SO glad you found this site!!

Hello there. Just wanted to let you know you didn't scare me off or anything. I work in a job that tends to get insanely busy in cycles, and have just completed one.

I am one of those people who picked up your books after your co-author work with REF. I had a question on that, but don't see any way to put a question over there?

Thanks for the pointers, I will be buying it, but not sure how, yet. Having read a good deal more around the areas here, I completely understand your reluctance to do the mass media paperbacks, that it is not exactly a good system. I completely agree the US book system has serious major issues. I wish the e-book thing would have found a good useable standard by now, with some kind of portable device.

Can I give you another point of view? For me, personally, it's not about the pricetag. I would never dream of denying the author or producers of the book their due, it's about the space. With, between my wife and myself, a wide library of easily over 1,000 books, there is simply no possible way for me to keep many at all in hardcover. And for me personally, the romance of reading is the realm of imagination the words invoke, not so much the medium the words are conveyed by. So I will decide to do something, just not sure what, just yet.

Questions on the Empire stuff can be directed to the thread in the Other stories topic.

Certainly, you could settle the problem by ordering the British paperback, as it is mass market sized. With amazon.co.uk and a credit card, it's there inside of a week, and with very reasonable shipping.

I sure understand about space! I keep hardbacks, but only ones I'll read again!

I'll second Amazon uk - I get a few books from them a year, and I've never had problems ordering from them.

The one time they made a mistake, I ended up getting two copies of Peril's Gate instead of just one.
