Anyone seen heroes? A very slick US sci-fi it seems...
The series has just finished on the sci-fi channel in the UK and is now showing on BBC2. I thought it was very good especially the guest appearance by Stan Lee (I'm a Spider-man fan-I'm a keeper of the flame!).I found it a bit confusing at first as the storyline was repeated over and over and I thoughtI was suffering from deja vu, but it picked up pace and everything tied in quite neatly at the end.If I get the chance, I might watch it again.
We started watching it on Sci-Fi but I'm afraid we weren't very persistent. If things get a bit 'samey' or slow,(i.e. 'Lost') then we just surf til we find summat else or turn the darn thing off and read. It was intriguing up to a point. Maybe we should try again now we have a second chance.
hope you are all well
Hi Artie!I definitely think it's worth sticking with-it does drag on in places but the overall storyline is good.
I'm well : ) Hope you are too!
the plot twists of season 2 are driving me to drink. I still cant figure out what the hispanics girl name is. Also I find it ammusing that of all the people with power the most powerful come from this old group that has lot of influence and power.
The girl's name is Maya, although her brother pronounces it "Mah-ja" which I think has to do with the language. Any thoughts as to what exactly her power is?
The ability to find a nice cup of tea and a sit down whenever she needs one.
That would be my super power, or one of them.
I think it has to do with some sort of plauge but not sure. Anyone know what happened to Cyris powers? Dont ya just love how the turned peter into more of a baddass instead of a pansy? I think I love that best but it seems to me that one would want to leave him alone because he is the most powerful Hero around and once he gets pissed say good night.
So what do you think will happen next monday on the finale of heros? anyone want to speculate with me? and wher eit will lead too
Well, first it really sucks that Season 2 is prematurely ending after 11 episodes, in light of the WGA strike.
From the preview, we got "two heroes will fall; a villain will rise." In reverse order, I've got to believe that the villain rising is Sylar. He has not been nearly as interesting, or evil, since he "lost" his abilities. What I can't figure out is why he lost his abilities (I guess, how he ended up in Mexico after getting stabbed in the chest, also), and how the good Dr. is supposed to be able to restore his abilities.
Peter will do something rash, thinking that Adam is still a good guy, but Hiro will turn him to the light before the end, although something bad will probably happend (e.g., the Shanti virus is released?). I predict the "two will fall" are Nathan and maybe Nikki.
