OK everyone I am not a OZ junkie and do not know the books but how did everyone like the first episode of TINMAN last night?

I am now on my way to read up on the story cause im curious about a few thing.

My sister claimed that this supposedly happened prior to the wizard of oz and i want to know if she is right.

Well I like TINMAN but still dont understand the name reference and good to know it happened after Dorothy. They left a few things unanswered how ever so am somewhat disappointed with the ending.

I didn't watch it, but I can only assume that the name "TINMAN" refers to the Tinman in the original Wizard of Oz. He was made of tin, and he was seeking for a heart to put inside his tin chest. Of course, the point of his character's story was that he had one all along, even though he didn't realize it.

Maybe that helps with the story line of your show?

I have to disagree it echoed the original left, right, and center. :-)

The Tin Man in this show had no heart at the beginning just like the Tin Man in the original. In this show he was locked in a metal suit as opposed to being made of metal.

Glitch had no brain, just like the Scarecrow in the original.

Raw had no courage, just like the Cowardly Lion of the original.

These learned that they had these things in vast abundance, just like in the original.

Ahamo (Omaha spelled backwards) came to Oz via a balloon from the Nebraska State Fair, just like the Wizard in the original.

DG learned the value of family and home, just like Dorothy in the original.

The specific plotlines varied but that's about all.

I like how they made her a desindent of Dorothy and yes I saw those similarities but they reallly evolved the O.Z. I would have liked a explanation of what the OZ is. They left way to many loose ends as well but over all a great mini seres
