Hello one and all, check out this documentary via the link below, best regards from Laurence.
According to BBC's website: "Currently BBC iPlayer TV programmes are available to play in the UK only" so the great unwashed masses will not be able to watch the show Laurence has indicated.
Hello everyone, my apologies! I did not realise that the BBC., player only worked for UK., residents; I thought that this was the WORLD WIDE WEB!
Perhaps the above mentioned documentary will be available via satellite TV..
It's filmed in Northern Norway, the scenery is awe inspiring and there is a terrific display of the Northern Lights. Skol from Laurence.
(Now you've done it - made us all pound the table in frustration for being outcast 'furriners'....
Hello Janny, I'm glad to be of service! GRIN!
*giggle* I think I've seen this documentary before. My country actually shares a border with Norway - Finland, that is. The Kven people in northern Norway are descended from Finns and speak a language that's closely related to Finnish.
I actually didn't know about the Kven before deciding to research Finno-Ugric languages and where they originally came from. XD
The video is now available via the link below, but it's been uploaded in 6 parts. Skol from Laurence.
