I have a process question, if I may....
So after you finish final mark ups, Madam Talespinner, what happens next?
*gets out feather duster and cleans out all the dust then places a vase of fresh hand picked and lovely scented flowers to freshen the air*
still here, just giving you some space to mark up, maybe people were scared away by the bees...
Well, I tried to post, but it didn't work...I had a question, Janny, which was where are you up to? Still in set 8, or have you moved on from there? ;)
Funny, Dan, I put up a post yesterday in response to Mark Stephen Kominski and Raelene Monahan, and it failed to take...odd. that's a first.
I've moved on, thankfully.
Raclene Monahan - there is no ROOM in here for dusting - you'd avalance all the piles of manuscript and notes for this title. And probably die when my TBR pile fell over (no time to read the now)...but I'd squeeze those flowers in somewhere.
This is a Very Tiny office.
MSK - What happens next?
I turn it in.
They read it, send it to copyedit.
While it's at copyedit, I do the glossary and design the COVER.
Copyedit returns, I go over it.
They start setting type.
I paint the cover.
I do the black and whites.
Page proofs arrive.
I go over the page proofs.
Some lucky sods may get page proofs to review.
I start Destiny's Conflict.
YOU GET THE BOOK.
"Lucky sod" I assume means people with a 50 mile radius of Sarasota?
