I completely agree with you. I finished Angels and Demons about a month ago, and thought it was by far the better of the two books...the intrigue is excellent as is the historical elements.
Granted, The DaVinci Code has the better title.
You should post on Julie's newsgroup. She'd love hearing that you enjoyed the books.
Truth be told, I haven't had much of a chance to read this week...I have gotten addicted to the latest Dr. Who TV show though - so much my friend Ruth just gave me a box of old Dr. Who novels because I said, "But I want to know what happened before this!!!"
There must be 40 or so of them - all very short, but they will be great for subway reading. (The ride on the subway to and from work)
Bruce, read In The Company Of Others by Julie. It's great I loved it so much. I want a sequel still. lol She's a terrific lady, very nice.
Sandtiger do you have a link to Julie's newsgroup? I think I will post there and do you have to register first? Thanks I had trouble before getting in but maybe with this better ISP service, I'll be able to this time.
Here's the link:
Thanks wish me luck getting there. I think Survival seems like a nice read. I like Brym.
I made my first post at Julie's Newsgroup. Finally, it made it there and I do have better ISP now. Now I know who was at fault before. Thanks Jana. Nice to see so many authors there too. Great newsgroup. I will enjoy it.
I just finished a very good book called "Starfish" by Peter Watts. And whoa... I just looked it up on Amazon for the author and apparently it's part of a trilogy. *grin* Something to watch the library for...
A litte more detail on the new Dr Who show, please. I'm only finding scattered info on the net with a reference to Christopher Eccleston playing Dr Who and quitting. When were these shows made and how are you getting them in Canada? I'm hoping the lethargic BBC Americ will add them to the line up but they're still stuck on things like Changing Rooms (how many times can you show the smae episodes).
Was anyone surprised at Raymond E. Feist's Exile's Return that it was about the bad guy Kaspar? I'm surprised and was hoping for more Talon. I like to cheer for the hero more than the bad guy. He did the same thing Goodkind did with his main characters but I think it looks like a good read anyway. I'll enjoy it. Hope that wasn't a spoiler.
We've had Dr Who on weekly on ABC (National Broadcaster) here for two weeks now. Our kids are hooked on the original version, but really enjoyed the one new episode they've seen (as did I!)
Here's the UK website
